The Revista da CGU has opened a call for papers for its 35th edition, which will focus on the Transnational Policy Process Research. Researchers, practitioners, public managers, and other interested parties can submit scientific articles until November 3, 2026.
This edition will feature editorial curation by a group of invited special editors with extensive technical and academic experience in the field: Osmany Porto de Oliveira (Federal University of São Paulo), Michelle Morais de Sá e Silva (The University of Oklahoma), Cecilia Osorio Gonnet (University of Chile), and Gita Steiner-Khamsi (Columbia University).
The objective is to deepen the debate on the transnational dimension of public policies, addressing the interactions that occur between different countries, institutions, and actors over time. The proposal seeks to broaden the traditional analysis, which usually treats domestic policies in isolation, by incorporating global influences and multilateral processes.
Among the topics of interest are the transfer and adaptation of policies across countries, the dissemination of best practices, the role of international organizations, the coordination of responses to global crises, and the construction of international agendas. Studies exploring methodologies and empirical evidence applied to the analysis of public policies in transnational contexts are also welcome.
The initiative aims to contribute to theoretical and methodological advancement in the field, encouraging reflection on the challenges of understanding public policies in contexts involving multiple levels of governance, diverse actors, and international dynamics.
